{True Name; Thra'axfyl the Ambitious} Mephistopheles, Lord of the Eighth Citadel, Lord of Hellfire, Duke of Brimstone, The Merciless Lord, The Cold Lord, Archduke and Baron of Cania, and Archdevil of Contradictions -- They are called by many names to many peoples, but perhaps are most well known as simply Mephisto the Contractor, for their notoriety as a deal-maker with the mortal races.

Despite being siblings with the other eight archdevils, each of them hates nothing more than each other. Mephisto, the Second Archdevil, is directly under Asmodeus in terms of power, and yet not typically a fighter. The Cold Lord prefers instead to scheme, connive, and often buy their way up through money, favors, and everything in between. While most agreements are written in blood, Mephisto is no stranger to negotiation..

Cania, Eighth Layer of the Nine Hells, and home of Mephistopheles. It is a plane entirely covered in unrelenting ice, blizzards, and glaciers that bounce off and crash into each other without end. Frozen mountains and glittering caverns litter the otherwise desolate wasteland, and it is no wonder that the Duke of Cania experiments constantly with magic; Mephisto hopes to one day leave this place, or alter it at the very least. For now, they reside within "Mephistar" -- A heated citadel carved out of the perpetual frost, located atop the giant glacier Nargus, whose movement is controlled by the Lord themselves.
